Matthew Rose's passion for photography ignited during his time in construction, where his eye for detail, angles and compositions blossomed. Aftering receiving a camera from an old friend, Matthew fell in love with photography, lighting and the art of immortalizing magical moments. Amidst the pandemic, Matthew found himself doing electrical work for a local business owner with an established photography business and studio. With his stars seemingly aligned, Matthew used his life savings to transform the downtown Fredericksburg studio into Roses are Red Photography headquarters. The name, a nod to his last name and beauty found in perseverance. Matthew believes that each session should be as unique as its subject, blending meticulous attention to detail with limitless creativity and artistic expression.
